It is now possible to announce the good news of Abe Rábade’s return to live shows, in solo format, with A.R.T. and with other musicians and groups.

The first date will be this Sunday 19 in Vitoria (Euskadi), during the alternative proposal to the Vitoria Jazz Festival, the Jazz VG Club, that will be celebrated in The Garage club. Abe’s performance will close a four-day cycle with a set of counterweights that will bring together the most classic jazz (with winks to stride and blues), songs from a lyrical origin (American standards, Brazilian tunes, Cuban boleros or cantigas from Galiza), arrangements of selections from European Classical Music’s repertoire, bebop and hardbop repertoire (pieces by Bud Powell, Charlie Parker or Sam Rivers), original material from Abe’s discography adapted to the format, as well as spontaneous and experimental elements that will depend on the chemistry of the moment, the audience, the stage space and the inspiring surprise.

2020 will be remembered as the first year that the Vitoria Jazz Festival has not been celebrated in the way it has been done since 1977, but covid will not prevent this alternative from being enjoyed, offering concerts from July 16 to 19.

Abe Rábade will share the space with Lara Vizuete, Triology, Rubén Salvador RS4, Ernesto Aurginac Quartet, Noa Lur Troublemaker, Javier Moreno group and Baldo Martínez, who will perform throughout this weekend with a maximum capacity of 200 people. The Basque newspaper has echoed the details of the concerts.

The performances will be broadcast in streaming through the page If you want to go to the concert, you can buy the tickets here.

In addition to his performance at this festival, Abe has two more concerts scheduled soon. One will be on August 8 at the Fundación Cerezales de Zamora (Spain) with Pablo Martín Caminero Trío and the other on September 4 with the band Eivissa Jazz Experience at the Eivissa Jazz Festival (Balearic Islands, Spain) with Román Filiu, saxophone (Cuba), Jeffery Davis, vibraphone (Portugal) , Horacio Fumero, bass (Argentina) and Esteve Pi, drums (Catalunya).

On the ocassion of the new album’s release, which will be entitled ‘Sorte’ (Luck), concerts are already booked in Compostela (February 11), Oviedo (February 12), Salamanca (February 13) and Madrid, in the historic National Auditorium (February 20).
